The midnight showing that is. At the theatre with the Ultrascreen (I think it's like 3x larger than a normal screen). There are a ton of seats still available (like 300 some - only a few over 90 seats have been sold so far).
Only drawback is that it's 187 minutes long. 3 hours 7 minutes, plus previews 10-15 minutes, though they sometimes cut these out...
So what do you guys think? Worth it or no?

Just got back. IMO it was well worth the money to go see. It started out a bit on the slow side, but then things really got interesting. Been a while since I saw the original, but from what I remember, it stayed pretty true to it.
9.5/10 for me. I plan to buy it when I can.
Coming Attractions:
Inside Man - looked sort of interesting to me. I'll probably go see it when it comes out.
Glory Road - standard Disney sports film. I might go see it at some point.
Miami Vice - Come on... how can you possibly NOT go see this movie? It's Miami Freakin Vice!
The Break Up - Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston. Looked sorta interesting. I usually enjoy VV movies.
Over The Hedge - Lots of big names in this animated movie. Looked pretty good from what I've seen so far.

I saw it, was disappointed. It was 2 hour movie stretched to 3. every scene dragged on and should have lasted half as long as they did. cool fights and stuff though, I give it a 7-7.5/10
I just got back from it now. I'd give it a 8/10. Defenitely a good movie but more of a movie that I'll only see once.
The T-Rex vs Kong part was orgasmic though.

It was too long, it was alright, but I don't think I will buy it. Dragged at some parts and they kept falling into trouble, dinosaurs, bats, bugs, natives, kong, etc.. got annoying after a few of those.
was a good movie with some nice scenes, but yeah a lot of it was stretched out.. airplanes shot the monkey for like an hour @@

wow that was a painful movie experience. Whats going on peter jackson? Fuck, felt like it dragged 1:30 too long, the intense scenes lost their effect because they were all the same. Bugs become repetative ( look a bug, i bet there is more, are there more? yes there are ) lets just see how many variations of objects with moving limbs and teeth we can put together.

and man, the CG and greenscreening was SOO distracting. boos all around.

The only cool part was the T-Rex stuff other than that it wasn't all that great. I would say its only worth it to rent it but I think you need the big screen to get the full 7/10 rating I'm giving it.
